Some guy just wandered into work saying he blew some tires on the highway, slurred speech, bloody lump on his head... cops are here giving him a field sobriety test in the waiting room o_O

(Update) Ambulance is here loading him up, after convincing him to get looked at.

The morning drunk drivers are the worst drunk drivers. I’ve almost been hit by someone who’s effed up way more often at 8am than 2am.

To be entirely fair, his symptoms also match up with a concussion. Not saying that he isn’t just drunk (or even both drunk and concussed), but there’s definitely the possibility.

Cops lie because you can’t disprove smell on audio/video recordings. I got that crap one night when I was DD in college. He even made me get out of the car after 100 questions trying to get me to tell him I’ve been drinking even though I hadn’t even had a sip. You can never trust a cop that pulls you over. They’re constantly digging for an excuse to write another ticket or put you in cuffs.

Also a possibility, he’s diabetic. Ketoacidosis often results in a fruity/boozy smell on the breath and low blood sugar leads to disorientation and slurred speech.

For the record, I’m not disputing that the guy is probably drunk. Your initial assessment is certainly the most likely. Just playing devil’s advocate a bit.
